This article examines the possibilities of a multivocal perspective in environmental history, understood as the inclusion and appreciation of diverse voices. The analysis focuses on the political concept of voice and other concepts related to vocal practice. It addresses the challenge of democratically representing diverse voices in environmental history by exploring three historiographical theoretical proposals: history from below, subaltern studies, and more-than-human conceptualizations of politics and historical agency. Additionally, the role of oral history in this process is considered, and an analysis is conducted on how these historiographical currents have influenced this practice. Through this research, the aim is to recognize how environmental history has addressed this issue and to contribute to the construction of a polyphonic environmental history.
