Diversidad y Dinámicas del Ecoturismo en la Amazonia: Estudio de Caso en Florencia- Caquetá, Colombia

Florencia, ubicada en la región amazónica de Colombia, ha experimentado un incremento en el turismo tras el Acuerdo de Paz de 2016, promoviendo el ecoturismo como una vía para mejorar la calidad de vida de sus habitantes y la conservación de sus ecosistemas. El propósito de este artículo es identificar y analizar los patrones, agrupaciones y factores clave que han configurado la realidad actual de estos emprendimientos, destacando cómo las dinámicas históricas y ambientales han influido en su desarrollo. La investigación se llevó a cabo en tres fases: identificación de emprendimientos de ecoturismo, evaluación de las percepciones de los propietarios respecto a aspectos económicos, socioculturales y ambientales, y análisis estadístico de los datos recopilados. El estudio de caso de Florencia, Caquetá, destaca la influencia positiva del ecoturismo en el empleo, los ingresos y la valorización cultural. La investigación identificó tres grupos distintos de emprendimientos ecoturísticos: el primero, con alta participación en actividades culturales y una percepción positiva del ecoturismo en términos de empleo y bienestar comunitario; el segundo, compuesto por individuos con educación universitaria y experiencia en ganadería; y el tercero, estrechamente vinculado al río Hacha y enfocado en la conservación de recursos hídricos. El ecoturismo en Florencia, gestionado adecuadamente, tiene el potencial de ser una herramienta poderosa para la paz y la sostenibilidad en la Amazonia colombiana. Integrar la historia ambiental en la planificación y gestión del ecoturismo es crucial para desarrollar enfoques innovadores y políticas inclusivas que fomenten la reconciliación y el desarrollo equitativo. La personalización de estrategias de desarrollo turístico, el fortalecimiento de las capacidades locales y el reconocimiento de los conocimientos indígenas son esenciales para maximizar los beneficios del ecoturismo y contribuir a la conservación del ecosistema amazónico.
